To support school environments in which students can fully engage with their classmates and their teachers, and to focus attention upon instruction, the Board of Education has determined the use of cell phones and other electronic communication devices by students for personal use during the school day and school activities should be limited.

~ during other academic time such study hall and support study, the device shall be turned off by the student, passcode protected, and remain in the student’s backpack or locker for the entirety of said academic time
~ the device will remain stored in the designated phone caddy even when the student leaves the instructional/academic setting (to go to the restroom, Health Office, School Counseling Office, CST) unless the student will not be returning to said setting
