Chess Club
Welcome to the Scarlet Knights Chess Club!
Here at The Scarlet Knights Chess Club, we are dedicated to bridging the gap between casual and professional play. The chess club has gained a significant presence in the Morris Hills community growing in a chess boom and inspiring casual chess through the school. We welcome any level players and provide the resources and space to learn and experience chess.
Each year we compete in statewide team tournaments and have consistently placed don't the podium each year. Now the growth of the club has over 50 members we have established a Varsity Chess team. Each week we hold lessons, weekly Tournament Tuesdays, game analysis sessions, puzzle challenges, and a monthly club-wide Tournament Bracket.
We meet every Thursday after school in Room #256. We also hold discussions and tournaments virtually throughout the week so there is a lot of opportunities to get involved.
