Why do you act?

The Academy for Performing Arts at Morris County Vocational School offers a major in Theatre with concentrations in Musical Theatre and Technical Theatre. Students with this major will be ready for almost any college major or career path encountered in the 21st Century, having acquired enhanced and developed imaginative capacity, flexible ways of thinking, self-discipline, and sophisticated presentation skills. 

Students who graduate from this program will be prepared to pursue post-secondary programs ​in Musical Theater, Acting, Theatre Education, and other related Theatre degrees such as Technical Theatre and Theatre Business Management. Additionally, they will be career ready, having experienced  a scaffold course progression consistent with the structure and demands of Theatre programs offered in colleges and universities nationwide.
