The Academy for the Performing Arts

The Morris County Vocational School District (MCVSD) offers the Academy for the Performing Arts (APA) at Morris Knolls High School in Rockaway, NJ.

The Morris County Academy for the Performing Arts, housed at Morris Knolls High School, is open to any student in Morris County New Jersey through a competitive application process and audition with Morris County School of Technology. Students apply in the fall of their eighth grade year and have a choice among three majors: dance, theatre, and vocal performance.

Full-time Career Academy Program

APA offers a student a unique high school experience combining comprehensive academics with focused Career and Technical Education (CTE) classes. 

Comprehensive High School Program

APA is a full time, comprehensive high school program (9th-12th) with a focused 4-year curriculum in the respective career area. 

Advisory Council Guides Curriculum

APA partners with business and industry partners, as well as representatives from post-secondary institutions, students, and parents to design relevant curriculum.
