Serenity

I learned that George and Martha Washington met while in the military. It was interesting that John Adams became unpopular in 1800 because of the war between the French and the British. Wow, it’s really amazing that John Jay was a diplomat for Spain.

I wonder if James Madison did anything other than being a president, politician, writer, fighter, and lawyer? Addi: I’m not sure if this answers your question but, James Madison was known as the father of the Constitution.

What do you think about the armonica Benjamin Franklin made?


Addison:

I learned that John Jay was the second governor of New York. I also learned that he was a diplomat for Spain.

Some interesting facts I learned about Alexander Hamilton was that Hamilton helped ratify the Constitution. Another fact about Alexander Hamilton I found interesting was that he is found on a $10 bill. Lastly, I find it amazing that Benjamin Franklin left school when he was 10 to work as a printer.

(besides the painting of George Washington.)Serenity: To answer your question about Dolley Madison, I think maybe she saved all the paper work, objects, and EVERYTHING in the White House (except the walls, of course. Just the important things.)

I learned that Hamilton wrote 51 out of the 85 Federalist papers.

John Adams was a descendant from the Mayflower Pilgrims.

I learned that Benjamin Franklin invented the Armonica.

I wonder why nobody got anything out of the war of 1812.

I learned that James Madison was good friends with Thomas Jefferson and they met while they were both researching politics. I also learned that Alexander Hamilton wrote 51 out of 85 of the federalist papers and helped with the constitution. And one more thing I learned was John Adams went to Harvard college and graduated in 1755. One question I have is why did Washington marry martha. And why did Alexander Hamilton decide to create the first national bank..




Bradyn: I think Benjamin Franklin is very cool because he's been all over the world for very important events. It's also impressive because it's amazing how he did that all in his lifetime.Another important Founding father I found was John Jay.Heś been in variety of treaties with other nations/countries.Another thing his he made his own treaty called ¨Jay's Treaty.¨George and Martha Washington were both born in Virginia. They met while George was still in the military, and got married on January 6, 1759. Soon after their marriage they moved into their home, now known as Mount Vernon. George Washington was the first President of the United States. Martha Washington was the first First Lady of the United States.1.I also wonder why Aaron Burr wasn’t charged with murder when he killed alexander hamilton?2. I wonder what John Adams majored in?

I learned that James Madison is great friends with Tomas Jefferson. It was interesting that John Jay was the 2nd governor of New York. Wow, it’s amazing that George and Martha Washington met in the military. I wonder why George Washington married Martha? What did John Jay do in Spain as a diplomat?

I honestly don’t know why George married Martha. If I had a guess it was because Martha was a widow, she was about George’s age, and she was wealthy. The two of them had a 40-year marriage, so I would assume that they did have a good relationship. (Kate)

I wonder why Ben Franklin ran away from his apprentice to Philadelphia.

Conner M- he ran away because he kept harassing his little brother and administering beatings from time to time.

I wonder why Alexander Hamilton decided to create the first National U.S. bank? I also wonder why Benjamin Franklin ran off at the age of 17 to Philadelphia?

Benjamin Franklin decided to run off to Philadelphia because of his abusive brother.(Kiley)

Sammy,\(-u-), I learned that Alexander Haliontion was the first secretary of state. I found out that Ben Franklin was 10 when he was working full time as a printer. I found out that John Madison was the 4th president. I wonder what year and month Ben Franklin died.



Emily: I learned that Aaron Burr was not arrested or punished for killing Alexander Hamilton. I found it interesting that George Washington had slaves, but later freed them. In the Revolutionary war some areas had abolished slavery. I also learned that John Jay was a diplomat for Spain and was a lawyer. I wonder if Benjamin Franklin’s inventions were more popular before or after he died? I wonder if Alexander Hamilton was the person with the idea to put U.S presidents on the dollar bill? If so, why?

1.My first question is, why did they discontinue the 5,000 dollar bill

The bills were discontinued in 1969 due to a fear of criminals using them for money laundering activities.(Emily)

2.My second question is, i wonder what inspired benjamin franklin to become a writer and publisher.

Franklin was inspired to become a waiter and publisher by his older brother who had a printing press that he would not let him use it.(Max)

ate :I learned that Aaron Burr was not tried and convicted for killing Alexander hamilton. Instead, he ran away to avoid his arrest. I also learned that george washington was one of the only presidents to free his slaves, and that he was actually one of the people to end the cycle of injustice.

I wonder : why did George Washington have a sudden change in heart about slaveryTo answer your question I think the reason he changed his heart about slavery is because he felt that after the war he realized how difficult it was for them. I think he felt that they fought just as well as everyone else and that they should not be alienated and treated like property. (Brookes)

I also wonder : Why was Aaron Burr not tried for killing Alexander Hamilton after returning to Washington D.C?

I learned that Alexander Hamilton created money plans we still use today. I didn’t know that John Adams lost his re-election to Thomas Jefferson. I also didn’t know that James Madison wrote the “Federalist Papers” with Alexander Hamilton and John Jay.

I wonder how were citizens affected after John Adams re-election loss?

I also wonder which dollar bill Benjamin Franklin was on and why was he on it?
