Homework assignments are updated every afternoon. Student write these assignments in their student planner every afternoon before leaving school. I do check to make sure they are writing their assignments down each day.

The best way to check for missing work is to log into the Powerschool Parent Portal. This is where your child's grades will be entered. Grades will be updated on a weekly basis.

If an assignment is missing, you should see a missing symbol in the assignment box and/or there will be a zero will be in the grade box for that assignment.

I have taught the students how to monitor their missing work in the portal and I give them reminders about missing assignments weekly. As the year progresses and students become more independent, the number of reminders about missing work decreases. Missing work will become a zero in the gradebook if a student still hasn't completed the work within a reasonable amount of time.
