Google Classroom is a Learning Management System (LMS) that houses teacher-made content for students to view and complete. Classes can be created and shared with students and parents. Teachers can post announcements, materials (like PowerPoints), videos from YouTube, and assignments to be completed. Google Classroom has integrations with many other learning platforms that allows you to post assignments to Google Classroom directly from those sites. Canvas is an online Learning Management System (LMS) allows you to build modules and content for your students. Assignments can be edited, submitted, and graded. It also can be linked with PowerTeacher Pro for easier grading. It is fully customizable and can also be used for assessment. Parents can receive summary emails of their students progress, assignments, and grades. Canvas also has a parent app that can be downloaded.
