Student Accountability

When in a virtual learning situation, all students should be emotionally connected with, challenged, and held accountable for their individual learning. Education is very personal and important for students to feel the intrinsic motivation to learn, better themselves, and feel pride for their hard work.

Social Emotional Daily Check-Ins

When teachers ask about how a student is feeling each day, it communicates to the child how important they are as a person. We care so much more about students than just academics, these resources are a great way to show them this.

One great idea is checking in with your students, especially at the end of the week, to see how they felt the week went. Here is an example of a Reflection to send to students.

This will take the student to a google form that students will answer in the morning AND afternoon. There are seven questions that are a mix of multiple choice and places to type in a response. This choice could be ideal for older grades.

Each day the student will fill out a google form with three question checking in about how they are feeling that day and if they want to talk about it. This google form is only multiple choice and might be suited for younger grades. From the TheLimitlessClassroom for $4 from Teacher Pay Teacher.

Digital Notebooks

A great way to utilize technology and boost student buy-in and motivation is through digital notebooks! It is powerful for students to understand their data and keep it in a centralized location. Taking ownership of individual learning is a great goal for the school year.
