Mr. Hayes is a 2011 graduate of Mount Gilead High School. While in high school, he participated in 4-H, FFA, National Honor Society, Show Choir, Marching Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band, Cross Country and Track. He then attended The University of Findlay where he was a member of Student Government, Student Athletic Advisory Committee, the admission's council, and the varsity cross country and track teams. Mr. Hayes graduated in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in animal science. Upon graduating he worked for Kalmbach Feeds as a Sow Unit Manager (the of breeding 5,000 pigs) until deciding to go back to school to become a science teacher. He finished the Bachelor's Plus program at Ashland University in 2018 and worked at Northridge High School for the 2019-2020 school year.
When not at school, or cross country/track practice, Mr. Hayes spends his time working at his second job and enjoys reading, training and racing for cross country and track, traveling, spending time with family and friends, training his dog and operating a rabbitry.
