Orton Gillingham Reading Training


Orton Gillingham is one approach that is used to help with students with dyslexia.


Training offered from an Academy of Orton Gillingham Practitioners and Educators(AOGPE) Fellow, Jennings Miller.


Educators who participate in this training gain a better idea how to integrate a structured literacy approach to their current classroom instruction.

Fall Training:

Sept. 20-21; October 1 & 22 (4 total days)


Spring Training:

Feb. 17-18; March 4 & 18 (4 total days)

Orton Gillingham Math Training


Orton Gillingham is one approach that is used to help with students with dyslexia.


Training offered from an Academy of Orton Gillingham Practitioners and Educators(AOGPE) Fellow, Jennings Miller.


Educators who participate in this training gain a better idea how to integrate a multi-sensory (concrete-representational-abstract) classroom approach.


Fall Training Session: September 23-24

Spring Training Session: March 11 & March 25

Behavior Training

Teachers and administrators have participated in the Applied Behavior Analysis training conducted by consultants from the Marcus Autism Center. This training is a three part series that expanded over a total of five days. The training covered an Introduction to Applied Behavior Analysis, Skills Acquisition, and Behavior Reduction. The virtual training allowed participants to receive valuable information to help with behavioral concerns and to work with other educators to troubleshoot problems that they may be facing in their instructional environments.

Fall Training Dates:

Intro to ABA~September 14 (8:30-12:30)

Skills Acquisition (Prerequisite-Intro to ABA)~September 29-30 (8:30-4:00)

Behavior Reduction (Prerequisite-Intro to ABA)~November 3-4, 2021




Paraprofessional Training

Course 1:

Paraprofessionals: An Essential Part of the Team course. This self-paced course allows paraprofessionals to learn basic skills to help better prepare them to assist the classroom teacher in a more efficient manner.

Free to Middle Georgia RESA Districts with a hard copy of the book.




Course 2:

Paraprofessionals: L.E.A.R.N (Learners, Eager, Agile, Responsible, and Nurturing)
