There are a variety of sites available online that offer ways to read at home for free. If your student is looking for something we don't offer at the library or you're looking for something to read when you don't have a print book available check out the sites listed below.
Project Gutenburg-this site offers over 70,000 free eBooks and requires no registration.
ManyBooks-this site offers over 50,000 free eBooks and offers a mobile app. Some books can be read online in your internet browser and some need to be downloaded from the site. You also have the option to create and account so you an save your progress.
Open Library-this site offers free eBooks online when you create an account. signing up is easy and takes only a few minutes. Open Library is organized into easy to use sections and the link above will take you straight to their k-12 library books.
