MS Girls Basketball Preview

MS Girls Looking Forward to Successful Season

With the middle school girls basketball season starting soon, the girls look to build off of a successful 11-1 season last year. Their only loss was to the Decorah Vikings by one point. I talked with Kaitlin Picha and Hannah Bogdonovich, one of their biggest goals this year is to go undefeated. Another big goal they have is to beat their arch rival, the Waukon Indians. “Probably the girls biggest motivation this year is going to be the loss to Decorah,” said Coach Brandon Burke. With lots of talent returning, Coach Burke is looking for an undefeated season as well.

For the seventh grade, Coach Jillian Burke hopes to build off of the success the girls experienced during the volleyball season. 7th graders Avery Lamborn and Autumn Shaw are excited to get the season rolling. They hope to have a winning season with their new 7th grade coach.
