We are the Metuchen High School Tree Ambassadors!
We are students dedicated to improving our school and community through tree planting, tree care, environmental education, and community service. Working in partnership with the Metuchen Shade Tree Commission, our members learn about urban forestry while helping create a healthier, greener future for everyone.
The Tree Ambassadors Program is a selective, two-year leadership program for Metuchen High School students who are passionate about trees, environmental stewardship, and community engagement. The program is not open to everyone. Students are selected based on their interest, commitment, and willingness to participate in weekend community events and activities. Members are expected to make a minimum two-year commitment and actively participate in tree education, planting, maintenance, identification, and community outreach.
