SUNY EOP programs refer to the opportunity programs available at the State University of New York (SUNY) campuses.
Educational Opportunity Program students may receive support services, such as academic, career, and personal counseling; tutoring and supplemental instruction. As part of a student's overall financial aid package, the Educational Opportunity Program provides financial assistance for non-tuition related expenses (e.g. books, supplies, etc.).
HEOP programs refer to the programs offered by a group of private colleges and universities in New York State.

-Provides funds to assist in the screening and testing of prospective students
-Provides structured academic support services including a pre-entry summer program, counseling, tutoring, and remedial/developmental coursework
-Provides supplemental financial and tuition assistance toward their college expenses.
