Welcome to Mrs. Ehmer's Website

Hello, my name is Linda Ehmer, I am the school counselor at Woodland. I have worked at Woodland since 2008. I received my undergraduate and graduate degrees from West Chester University and am a certified K-6 school counselor. I have 4 children of my own and therefore have probably been through many of the challenges you might face with your children. I am here to help in any way I can, we can get through anything together!

I meet with students individually, or in small groups to discuss any problems or issues they may be struggling with. Some topics might include: making friends and getting along with others, making good choices, family changes and/or loss, behaving responsibly, handling conflict, controlling anger, recognizing personal strengths and needs, anxiety or anything else your child might wish to discuss.

Students can drop in to see me at any time or leave me a note to schedule a meeting either in the mailbox outside of my room or in the mailbox in my bitmoji classroom that is attached to their teacher’s google classroom as well as to the principal's weekly newsletter. Students can sign up with some friends to have lunch or recess with me as well. During lunch we socialize and practice using good manners. Recess is a great opportunity to play games that help practice taking turns, following rules, getting along with others and having fun!

I support parents as well. If you have any concerns regarding your child, or if your family is experiencing something out of the ordinary, I welcome the opportunity to support you. Please feel free to contact me by email, lehmer@methacton.org or phone (610-489-5000 ext. 43213). The best way to ensure your child's academic and personal success is through communication and teamwork!
