Plastic Bottle Collection

Arrowhead 4th grade decided to make a difference in at school. We collected disposable bottles for a week and discovered the school used 237 disposable bottles. Then, we surveyed the classrooms to see who still did not use a reusable water bottle. Once we distributed reusable bottles to students who did not have them, we encouraged the use of reusable bottles. Students made announcements informing the importance of using reusable bottles and set up a challenge for our school to use their reusable bottles for a week. By encouraging using reusable water bottles, we were able to reduce the number to just 67 disposable bottles. Arrowhead Students met the challenge. It was a win for our school and the environment.
