Name Writing Activities

It is very important to have your child lean to write his/her name correctly. The first letter should be capital and the rest lowercase. Listed below are activities that can be used to practice name writing.

• Practice writing name on paper correctly. Please use proper pencil grip.
• Use a finger dipped in ketchup, pudding or yogurt to trace the name. The card will easily wipe off.
• Use a Tootsie Roll as a pencil to trace over the letters on the card. Eat the treat.
• Bury the card in a thin layer of sugar and have your child trace over the letters of his/her name and watch the letters on the card appear.
• Outline each letter with rice.
• Use playdoh “snakes” to form each letter on top of the card.
• Rainbow write (each letter in a different color) name on paper correctly. Please use proper pencil grip.
