Do you need the adult writing?
Your child will be using kidwriting in school. Kidwriting is writing using the sounds that your child (a kidJ) hears in each word. Some children can only produce a beginning and/or ending sound while others can produce more. I ask that when you are doing homework with your child that you help them to stretch or tap out the words for sounds but do not spell the words for them. Please have your child use their best handwriting, use only a capital letter ant the beginning of the sentence, a period at the end, finger spaces between words and to spell the sight words correctly. When your child has finished writing, you may adult write at the bottom if you think I may need help reading the sentence. Thanks for helping your child become a better writer and reader. Happy writing!
