The most powerful learning happens when we honor every part of a child—their curiosity, their emotions, and their individuality.
Pre-K had a tea party to celebrate learning a new letter/sound. We learned letter "U" can make the "uh" sound. We practiced the short u sound by pretending to pick up heavy bags of sugar that Pete needed for his tea. The students really enjoyed dressing up, coming up with a list/plan for the tea party, and the fancy decor they requested.
