This year, the 5th and 6th grade team, in partnership with the Technology Department, is piloting a new Chromebook policy in which student devices will remain at school. The goal of this change is to reduce device damage and repairs while also helping limit noneducational screen time outside of school. Students will store their Chromebooks in the classroom cart at the end of each day and pick them up each morning before classes begin.
Because Chromebook carts have limited space, protective cases must meet specific size requirements to fit properly. During the first few weeks of school, please purchase a Chromebook case that meets the guidelines in the image to the right.
You can reach out directly to the Tech Team to explain your problem by clicking on this link. Please ensure that you answer all the questions.
We want every student to have the technology they need to be successful. During the first few weeks of school, families will receive a brief technology survey to let us know whether their student has access to a device at home for schoolwork.
Students who need a device to complete assignments at home may be able to check out a Chromebook.
More information about the survey and the checkout process will be shared once school begins.
