This course exposes participants theoretically and practically in building an IoT Middleware system, especially the MQTT protocol, using the open-source Eclipse Mosquitto and Node-Red software. With this basic knowledge and skills, participants will be able to understand and apply MQTT concepts in their innovation projects and can be applied in the teaching and learning process. This course is delivered by experts in the field of IoT who will guide participants with extensive experience and knowledge about IoT. The "IoT Middleware" course is the ideal first step for individuals interested in mastering IoT Middleware practically using the simple, safe and practical MQTT protocol. Through this protocol all types of communication in the construction of IoT systems can be developed to enable the transfer of data or information between devices or hardware involved in the IoT network. This PPK 2023: INTERNET OF THINGS MIDDLEWARE course has been organized by the Advanced Training and Education Unit (ULPL), Mukah Polytechnic, Mukah (PMU) on 21 - 25 August 2023 which is for 4.5 days or 33 hours of training. A total of 22 participants consisting of polytechnic lecturers attended this course.

Helmi Zaifura bin Abdul Rahman (Pendaftar) yang mewakili UPSI. Pihak WOR telah diwakili oleh Pengarah Urusannya, En. Lee Yew Kein dan disaksikan oleh En. Pengarah Projek Khas, Affizan Bin Abraham Peintkowsky.
Teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) atau Internet Benda merupakan antara teknologi terkini yang berkembang seiring dengan perkembangan Revolusi Industri 4.0 (RI 4.0). Pembangunan sistem IoT memerlukan pemahaman khusus tentang struktur dan seni bina sistem tersebut. Justeru, kursus IoT for Beginners yang telah dilaksanakan bermula 23 September 2024 hingga 30 September 2024 (4 hari) bertujuan untuk mendedahkan para peserta dengan pengenalan kepada teknologi IoT melalui pembelajaran teori dan praktikal. Peserta telah didedahkan struktur asas IoT, protokol komunikasi IoT terutamanya MQTT, penyediaan IoT broker, pembangunan dashboard dan kaedah pemantauan data dan kawalan peralatan menggunakan sistem IoT. Internet of Things (IoT) or Internet of Things technology is among the latest technologies that develop along with the development of Industrial Revolution 4.0 (RI 4.0). System development IoT requires a specific understanding of structure and architecture the system. Therefore, the IoT for Beginners course that has been implemented from August 27, 2024 to August 30, 2024 (5 days) aims to expose the participants with introductions to IoT technology through theoretical and practical learning. Participants has revealed the basic structure of the IoT, the IoT communication protocol especially MQTT, IoT broker provision, dashboard development and methods of data monitoring and equipment control using IoT systems.
10 November 2024: Robolimpic Robotic Camp was held at Robotic Lab with the collaboration of Robotics and Cyber-Physical Systems (RACS) special interest group Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) and World of Robotics Sdn Bhd. This camp was financially sponsored by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation Malaysia through the SceiTech4u initiative. The objective of the camp is to develop interest among the 9 through 12 years old students on STEM education through robotic technology.
