Back to School Night is October 6, 2021. I look forward to discussing 1st grade with you!

I feel very lucky to be sharing such an important year with you and your child. This will be a very exciting year for everyone filled with many new and fun learning experiences. With so many experiences and responsibilities, I am confident that we can work together to make first grade a very rewarding and successful experience for your child. It is so exciting to watch the children's reading, writing and math skills develop, and to watch them become more confident learners. I want to tell you a little about my classroom and teaching philosophy. I create a comfortable environment where the children are not afraid to make mistakes, and always know they will get a reassuring smile. I have a fun, child centered, hands-on classroom in which the children are encouraged to explore and take risks in their daily work. I try to instill in the children positive feelings toward school, and to lay the foundation for a lifetime enjoyment of learning. This is a year of incredible growth socially, intellectually and emotionally. I'm so glad that I can be part of it!
