All LM 2nd grade students will take the Math Benchmark B Test via LinkIt on Thursday, February 28th.
How can I help my student prepare for the Topic 1-8 Benchmark?
MATH TEXTBOOK
Review Lessons in the math textbook, focusing on the Visual Learning Bridge and Guided Practice. These sections provide examples and show the problems that your student worked on in the classroom. You can access the Math Textbook online, too!MATH ADDITIONAL PRACTICE BOOK
Used for homework, each page included examples to help your child with the skills and strategies we used in each lesson.PRACTICE BUDDY
In your student's Savvas account, review the Practice Buddy assignments. Click the "completed" tab to view previous Practice Buddy assignments completed by your student.VISUAL LEARNING VIDEOS
Rewatch the Visual Learning Videos used during instruction in class. Your student can also watch Another Look Videos for many of the lessons. Both videos are found at Savvas online (login with ClassLink). Click on the Explore button, then navigate to the topic, then lesson. Videos are listed for each lesson with an eyeball icon.IXL SKILLS PLAN
Your student can use IXL to practice skills aligned with each Topic, broken down by lesson. Access the Skills Plan here, but be sure to have your student login using ClassLink.REFLEX
Continue to have your child build their math fact automaticity with daily usage of Reflex Math. Many students struggle with higher-order mathematics skills because they do not know their basic facts quickly.
When will I find out my student's score on Benchmark B?
You will receive an email from the district when all MERS 2nd graders' scores will be released in Genesis. Please click the “Documents” tab in the Genesis Parent Portal.
