How do I log into the student math program from home?
First, login to the ClassLink Launchpad. Enter your child's login: 34firstinitiallastname@mersnj.us (ex: 34mmouse@mersnj.us) and their 5-digit student ID number (found in Genesis). Click on Savvas Easy Bridge (shown), then your child's listed textbook.
What homework does my child have for math?
Additonal Practice Book (completed at home)
Daily Goal: Complete the two workbook pages that coordinate with the day's lesson
This assignment will be posted on the daily homework page, linked on Google Classroom. Each page includes an Another Look! section at the top that reviews the lesson. Students and parents can also access the Another Look! videos and videos watched in class using the online math program (see how to login above).
Click on the current topic in the link at the top for more strategies and support for lessons coordinating with nightly homework in the Additional Practice Book.
Additional Practice Book assignments are rarely made on Fridays or over the weekend, with exceptions for upcoming tests and snow days. Prior to tests, the textbook will be used for homework, review, and studying.
Reflex Math (begun at school, may need to be finished at home)
Daily Goal: Earn the Green Light
This program, accessed through ClassLink, develops your child's basic fact fluency in addition and subtraction. Later in the year, students will switch to multiplication and division to ready them for 3rd grade.
Reflex Math is done as morning work and continued throughout the day as students finish other work. Most students earn their Green Light at school, but some students need more time and the focus that work at home can provide. Please check regularly with your child to learn their rate of learning and if more time on Reflex is needed at home.
ST Math (begun at school, may need to be finished at home)
Weekly Goal: 60 minutes and 40 puzzles!
ST Math develops mathematical problem-solving skills aligned with our curriculum and standards. While time is given to students in school, the amount of time each student needs can differ dramatically. Check in regularly with your child to see if they need more time at home working on a specific skill.
