Philosophy

My Philosophy:

I am a music educator, but I don't just teach music...I teach children. I use the SUBJECT MATTER to show my students how THEY MATTER. That is why I believe that being my students' teacher is the greatest gift I can give them in my classroom.  The culture we create each day is that of family - we laugh, we cry, we love. I would do anything for my students, and in turn they do the same for me every single day in our rehearsals and performances. The classroom is our home, and those students are my family.

Students don't care what you know until they know that you care.
