Hello!

I'm so happy to be a part of Meridian's team as the Middle School and High School Art Teacher!

A bit about me:

I was born and raised in the country near Blue Mound, IL. I've always had a passion for art. I pursued my B.F.A through Millikin University, specializing in graphic art, illustration, and photography. I graduated from Millikin in 2008. Shortly after graduating, I decided to return to Millikin to complete my K-12 Art Teaching Certification. I married my high school sweet heart in 2011, the same year I began teaching middle and high school art at Sangamon Valley. I completed my MA in Art Education through Eastern University in 2016. I have two beautiful and slightly ornery children, ages 4 and 6. After teaching at Sangamon Valley for 9 years, my wonderful high school art teacher at Meridian retired and I was fortunate enough to return "home" to teach where I grew up!  I have been teaching secondary Art at Meridian since 2020.
