I currently teach two different levels of Social Studies. Sixth grade students will spend a quarter learning about the geography of the world and then move on to civics. Civics will include instruction on government institutions, discussion of current and societal issues, service learning, and simulations of democratic processes. Seventh grade students will study the geography, history, and government of the United States from colony life in the 1600s to Reconstruction of the south in the early 1900s.
