About Me

This is my 14th year teaching at Meridian Middle School. I taught English for five years and made the switch in 2017 to sixth and seventh grade Social Studies. I earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from Millikin University in 1998 and a Masters Degree in Teaching and Learning from Illinois State University in 2018. This is also my 7th year as the varsity coach of the Meridian high school girls volleyball team. I live in the Meridian School District with my husband and two daughters (Katy, 21 & Maddy, 19 who are both Meridian graduates).  Katy is an education major at Illinois State University and Maddy is in the nursing program at Millikin University.  I enjoy organizing, volleyball, drinking coffee, sunshine, and spending time with my family and kitty cat, Macy.
