STEM is a semester-long class for 9th and 10th grade students. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. This hands-on class is a project based class that focuses on problem solving, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. Students will be given a series of problems that they will need to solve using a mixture of different approaches and subjects. Students will have access to a Makerspace with tools and materials to help them create solutions to each problem they face in class. Students will use the Engineering Design Process to come up with a plan, execute it, and then reflect on what they learned and how they can improve.Â
