Advanced Computers

This year-long class is for 8th graders to learn more advanced and difficult computer applications. This class focuses on creating different digital items such as movies, games, and applications. Students will frequently collaborate on different projects. Students will learn the basics of coding in Blockly and Javascript, using Adobe Software, and creating mobile phone apps in MIT App Inventor 2. Familiarity with Google Apps (Docs, Sheets, Slides) is necessary. Students will also have access to Lego Mindstorms robotics kits, Arduino microcontrollers, and a 3D printer.
