About Geometry

Syllabus 

In geometry, students will take the tools learned in algebra 1 as well as previous mathematics courses and apply them to a more physical form of the mathematical world.

Students will reinforce algebra concepts learned last year as well as concentrating on the following topics in preparation for pre-calculus and calculus:

The Euclidian Plane and Three-Dimensional Space

Logic and Proof

Congruence, Similarity, and Transformations

Polygons, with an Emphasis on Triangles and Quadrilaterals

Properties of Circles

A scientific calculator is required for the class. My suggestion is the TI-30XIIS. If you go with a different model, just make sure it has buttons for sin, cos, and tan.
