The Marketing Pathway provides students the opportunity to explore the marketing field and prepare for careers in this dynamic industry. This pathway will build a strong foundation of skills and knowledge required to succeed in one of the may careers available.

Course Offerings

Introduction to Business

Course introducing the field of business including topics such as management, finance, accounting, marketing and other areas of general business.

Marketing 1

Marketing 1 is the study of concepts in marketing, business and economics. These include the nature, scope and techniques of selling; understanding clients opportunities and employability skills. Special emphasis is placed on the student’s involvement in DECA and the School Store as co-curricular activities.

Sports & Entertainment Marketing

Sports and entertainment industries will be used to introduce students to the foundations and functions of marketing. This unique and innovative course includes an orientation the sports and entertainment industry with topics including sponsorship pricing, market research, endorsements and promotions.

Marketing 2

Students will continue their study of marketing, business and economics. Studies will also include cost-profit relationships, operations, risk management, purchasing, pricing, and sales and finance. Students will be engaged through hands on activities using skills developed through the entrepreneurship component of the program.

Marketing 3

This course has a special emphasis on entrepreneurship, It is designed for students planning on majoring in marketing and/or business in college. Concentration will be on the students desire to own and operate their own business. They will develop a marketing plan, learn how to complete a marketing analysis and complete a comprehensive written project on starting a new business.
