Donatello's David, completed around 1440, is a bronze masterpiece depicting the young hero standing over Goliath’s head. Between 2007 and 2008, the sculpture underwent a public restoration at the Bargello Museum using advanced techniques like laser cleaning to remove accummulated deposits and enhance its gold details on the sword, hat, sandals, and helmet.
