Hi, I’m Erica Aros — Your Friendly Wine Mentor!
I’m passionate about making wine approachable and fun for everyone. My journey started in Temecula wine country, where I trained in French-inspired wines as a wine educator. I also hold a Level 1 Sommelier certificate, which helps me guide people in understanding how wine is made, how to enjoy it, and how to confidently choose the right bottle for any occasion.
With a PhD in education and years of experience teaching at the university level, I bring a thoughtful and engaging approach to wine that helps people feel confident, curious, and excited to learn. My private wine tasting lessons are relaxed, interactive experiences where all questions are welcome, and the goal is simple: to help you discover what you enjoy most about wine.
Outside of wine, I’m an educator at San Diego State University, run a private leadership consulting business, and stay busy as a wife and mom. I’m also a big music fan: 90s alternative rock, hip-hop/R&B, and classic rock like The Beatles. I look forward to raising a glass with you soon!

A laid-back, pop-up bar–style wine tasting with a dash of wine education — perfect for social gatherings, parties, and casual celebrations. Think fun, interactive, and deliciously memorable.
Roll up for the Mystery Pour! This experience, often known as a "blind tasting," is waiting to take you away. You and your guests will guess your way through 5-6 wines tastes, but don't worry--I'll post wine profile posters around the room to give you all some clues.
Enhance your "Swirl & Savor" tasting experience with wine and cheese pairing education, in which you will learn about how to enhance the flavors of wine by sampling a curated selection of artisan cheeses.
