Meet the Teacher Librarian and her Library Aides
About Your Teacher Librarian: Mrs. Chaney
I have been married for 28 years. I have a son and daughter who are both married and my son has a son. My first grandbaby.
I started my career in education teaching elementary school. After a few years I moved to the middle school. I taught 8th grade literacy at Mena Middle school for 13 years. This is my second year as the librarian. I work with wonderful teachers and help them get the tools they need, as well as teach along side them to support their curriculum.

Parent Library Information
We love our parents to get involved. Once a year we will have a free Cookies and Canvas night. We would also love to have some parent volunteers for book talks and poetry readings or for our "We Read Wednesday" posts. If you are interested in this please contact Mrs. Chaney.
We had a wonderful time at Cookies and Canvas this year. Thank you to everyone who signed up and came to have a relaxing evening of painting with your student. Stay tuned for next year's event!
