K-3 Enrichment
Kindergarten-2nd Grade
Students at Louise Durham receive weekly enrichment lessons through our GT Enrichment Book. Three lessons are completed with the classroom teacher and one is completed with the GT teacher in one month. In these lessons, students work on convergent/divergent thinking, logical reasoning and deductive reasoning and STEM.
Students use their investigative skills to guess what in under the microscope.
Students use their "Brain-Focals" to turn something ordinary to something creative and unique.Â
Students work together to build structures out of limited materials.
Students use logic to mix up two or more animal parts and justify their reasoning.
3rd Grade
Students in 3rd grade receive weekly whole group GT enrichment lessons for the first 6 weeks of school. The next two weeks include teachers, parents, students referring students for GT. After the identification process is complete, identified GT students will start receiving 150 minutes of GT pull out program.
