There are several things you can do in preparation 

for the beginning of 6th grade.  Here are a few suggestions:

• Spend some time reviewing the MVMMS website.  Check out important sections, such as:

  • About MVMMS and Contact Information

  • Program of Studies

  • School Handbook and Code of Conduct

  • Attendance, Tardies, and Dismissals

• Make a schedule with your student to complete their summer reading and math assignments.

• Talk with your students about the transition to middle school.  Ask what they are excited about, curious about, and concerned about.

• Connect with the MVMMS PTO: mvmmspto@gmail.com and Facebook and the MVMMS PTO Newsletter.

• Save the Date! MVMMS 6th Grade Orientation is August 20th. Orientation is for all incoming 6th graders.
