Students at MVMMS are asked to complete summer assignments for Math and English/Language Arts classes to help prepare for the coming year. Those assignments can be found online by clicking on the MVMMS Summer Reading & Math button below. It is recommended that families spend some time early in the summer reviewing the instructions and setting a schedule so there is ample time to complete the work.
SUMMER READING PROGRAM INFORMATION
2025 MVMMS Summer Reading website
Every student will read THREE books this summer:
Read two books from the grade-level book list for the grade you will entering in the fall. We have provided a variety of titles and genres. Take notes on each grade-level book. When you return to school, you will share your reading experience through class discussion or project work. Suggested note-taking templates can be found at the bottom of each grade-level page.
Read at least one BOOK of CHOICE. For your choice book(s), you are encouraged to select any book that interests you - fiction, nonfiction, a graphic novel, a memoir, a mystery, anything!
2. Students should complete this Book Google form for each book they read this summer.
The goal this summer is to find books that excite you and read as many as you can!
