General Strategies

The sensory systems are interconnected. They allow us to experience, interpret and respond to different stimuli in the environment around us.

Students often struggle with writing. Three sensory systems interact when students write: tactile (touch), vestibular (balance), and proprioceptive (body awareness).

Opportunities for sensory movement can provide an opportunity for all students to experience a "fresh start" for engaged academics including writing, learning, socializing, attitude, mode and more.
