Overseas College Counsellor

During the 1st semester the Grade 12 students at MEF IS & NS are the college counselling priority, due to the university application process. During the 2nd semester the focus turns to the Grade 11 students, who are requested to complete research and create a “university long list”. During the academic year Grade 12 and 11 students are requested to have meetings with the College Counsellor (on average 4-6 for the former, 2-3 for the latter). During the 1st semester I had 450 meetings with students and parents. Those students who respond to requests for meetings and complete the university long list are given priority during the university application process. Students are encouraged to read my weekly newsletters in order to be informed regarding upcoming university visits and other resources for college and career planning.
