ELA

Reader's Notebooks:

Students will be reading/responding or writing at least 2-3 times per night for homework. Students will receive a schedule/calendar each trimester stating what they will be writing about in their Read and respond notebooks. The schedule will also posted on our team calendar.

Some suggestions for responses are:

Summary-answer the 5 W's + your opinion

Character/Scene Sketch-draw and explain your favorite character or scene

Wonder-write down everything you wonder about

Poems/song-write any kind of poem or song to depict what your book is about

When it is just a writing night, you are to write about anything you are thinking about. Think of it like a conversation with me. Papers were sent home in regards to this and needed to be signed off on.
