We will have 9 units in a new program that our classroom will be piloting/testing out this school year. This program includes a variety of nonfiction texts, fiction stories, and poetry units. During these units, we will build background and vocabulary knowledge based on a specific time period or topic. 

We are beginning a new program this year which promotes collaboration and the use of manipulatives. With the try-discuss-connect framework, we are looking forward to seeing students become more confident in their math abilities. This program aligns well with the New York state standards for mathmatics.
