Coach Allen

Coach Trey Allen is the Physical Education teacher at Willard South Elementary and a football and track/field coach at Willard Middle School. This will be his sixth year in Willard Public Schools. He previously taught P.E. for three years in Springfield Public Schools at Wilder Elementary, Hickory Hills Elementary, Pershing Elementary, and Central MYSP. Coach Allen was also a football coach for three years at Fair Grove High School/Middle School and two years at Glendale High School. Additionally, he has coached high school track/field and middle school basketball, both at Fair Grove. Coach Allen has experience as a paraprofessional in Special Education and also as childcare staff for the YMCA. 

Coach Allen is married to Mrs. Alex Allen, a fourth grade teacher at Willard South Elementary. This will be Mrs. Allen's ninth year as a teacher at South. Together, Coach Allen and Mrs. Allen have two sons, Jace (born in 2016) and Emet (born in 2020), as well as a daughter due to be born in 2023. Coach Allen was born in Springfield, MO but grew up in Fair Grove, MO before meeting Mrs. Allen in 2009 and going to and graduating college together at Missouri State University (2013) and then getting married (2015). Coach Allen has also earned a master's degree in educational administration through William Woods University (2020). Coach Allen, Mrs. Allen, Jace, and Emet now live in Willard (2020) after having lived in Springfield for several years. They live with their two cats, Django and Jack, and two dogs, Bo and Hali.

Most important to Coach Allen are his faith, family/friends (including his students and fellow staff), and his fitness. He loves being active and outdoors (Jace and Emet are the same way), but he also enjoys watching movies or shows and listening to music. Coach Allen has loved being a part of the Willard family, specifically at Willard South, and he looks forward to another great year!
