3. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for the Scholarship, the applicant must be a graduating senior who attended a minimum of three (3) years at the Mary E. Baker School. Student must be graduating from Brockton High School, Champion High School, Edison Academy, Frederick Douglass Academy, Huntington Alternative School, or Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School.

Additionally, the applicant must be accepted for enrollment in a degree-granting or technical school.

4. APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Complete and sign our application that may be obtained in your house guidance office. Enclose a high school transcript and an essay describing how your time at the Baker contributed to how you view the world and who you are as a person. This could include any experience or teacher from the Baker who impacted your life in a meaningful way. Essay is most heavily weighed part during selection.

The essay and application will be reviewed and evaluated by the Scholarship Committee. All members will judge the essays anonymously to ensure that the decision is fair and impartial. It is important that you make no reference to your name or a family member’s identity in your essay.

The application must be completed, signed, and forwarded with your transcript and essay to the address below and must be received by April 1^st of the graduating year to be considered.

6. STEPS RECIPIENT SHOULD TAKE TO RECEIVE SCHOLARSHIP

The recipient of the scholarship will be notified and asked to attend a Mary Baker PTA meeting where they will receive the scholarship.
