Setting Up New Classes
NOTE: Copying a class will put all your resources and assignments in "Draft" form. They will remain in "Draft" form until you publish it. Messages, students, grades, etc from the original class will NOT be copied over.
Select your class.
Click the three dots on the top right hand side.
Select Copy.
Edit the info for your new class (For example: Math 6 2024-25)
Hit "Copy"
NOTE: Archiving will not delete the content and students work. It will simply remove it from your home screen and the students' homes screen. You can always retrieve archived information.
Go back to the previous class.
Click on the three dots (of the original) and hit "Archive".
Click on your grade and find your Subject + Section Number
Add any relevant information necessary (example: Section Number, name, missing classes, etc)

In your newly copied class, go to "Class Code" > Three dots > and "Copy Class Invite Link"
Paste your link into the Grade level documents above
(the buttons are links).
You may also wish to include your "Class Code"
REPEAT Steps 2-3 for all your CLASSES and SECTIONS
(if applicable)
NOTE: This option is ideal for anyone joining into a Google Class late. You and the classroom students will have access to the Class Code. It may be easier to share the Class Code. These are student instructions.
No existing classes:
Click on "Join a Class"
Insert CLASS CODE
Click "Join a Class"
