I am EXCITED to share a new opportunity that elementary gifted students will participate in this year.  In the past, one of the gifted services provided to elementary students in grades 4-6 included a weekly pullout program. This year the district has designed a STEAM Lab which is housed at the College & Career Center on the Meade County High School campus.  STEAM is an educational approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking. Elementary GT students will have the opportunity to come to the STEAM Lab for a whole day of enrichment opportunities with like-minded peers twice a month beginning in September!
