Joining the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a great way to get involved in your child’s school. It gives you the opportunity to stay informed, connect with other parents and teachers, and help build a strong, supportive school community. ❌Myth: JOINING THE PTA MEANS I HAVE TO VOLUNTEER AND ATTEND MEETINGS 

✔️Fact: While we wholeheartedly encourage volunteering (it truly can be enjoyable), rest assured we have no intention of dragging you into a never-ending volunteer vortex. You're not required to attend association meetings, but we do encourage everyone to come, share your thoughts, and make your voice heard. Your feedback and input are incredibly important as we plan events and make decisions that impact our school community.

❌Myth: ONLY MOMS AND TEACHERS CAN JOIN

✔️Fact: Anyone who cares about children has a place in the PTA. Parents, family members, community members, even students are all welcome to join! Your voice and involvement truly matter!

❌Myth: I MUST BE A BOARD MEMBER IF I JOIN

✔️Fact: You do not have to serve on the board or lead a committee to join the PTA. Your smile, your talents, and your (much needed) financial support all make a difference.

❌Myth: I DON’T HAVE TIME TO JOIN

✔️Fact: We understand how busy families are! By becoming a paid PTA member, you provide essential financial support that helps the PTA continue to serve our students, staff, and school throughout the entire school year make a meaningful difference.

❌Myth: I ONLY HAVE TO JOIN THE PTA ONE TIME

✔️Fact: Each new school year starts a fresh PTA membership term. Membership is valid for that school year only, so you’ll need to renew your membership annually.
