Grades: 9-12 

Prerequisite: Dance I or teacher placement

UC and CSU certified: Elective (Fulfills UC/CSU “f” requirement) 

Dance II is an intermediate course that continues the study of dance technique and composition.  Students will build on the dance skills they learned in Dance I and practice at a higher level. Students will also build on their skills in dance composition and create more complex pieces of choreography. Students will continue learning the history and cultural context of the dance styles they study.  This intermediate dance course is designed for students with previous experience in dance.  It will prepare students for Dance III and Dance III Honors. It can be taken for either PE or Arts credit.
