The College Park Dance Program is dedicated to fostering creative expression, technical excellence, artistic collaboration, and confident performance in all students. Through the study of diverse dance styles, composition, and choreography, students develop discipline, creativity, and a deeper understanding of movement as an art form. We strive to cultivate an inclusive environment where every dancer is empowered to explore their unique voice, build performance skills, and grow as both artists and individuals.
With over twenty years of experience teaching dance in studios and schools, Ms. Oliver is thrilled to have joined College Park in 2024. She holds an MA in Dance Education from New York University and a BA from UCLA in Dance.
At the high school level, she's coached her students toward notable achievements, including scholarships to Monsters of Hip Hop, acceptance to California State Summer School for the Arts, and admission to various college dance programs including UCLA, UC Irvine, and NYU.
In addition to directing the dance program at College Park, Ms. Oliver teaches jazz classes at Dreamspace Dance and Performing Arts and coaches their jazz competitive team.
While living in New York City, Ms. Oliver performed with Elliott Dance Company, a hip hop company directed by Choreographer and NYU faculty member, Kim Elliott. Her choreography was also selected
