As college admissions become increasingly competitive, more and more schools are asking applicants about their experience with community service. Students who have given their time to helping out organizations are seen as more desirable than students who have not. CHS Choir students can easily earn community service credit for the time that they give to our organization. These hours can also count towards your Senior Community Service graduation requirement.
Each semester, students must earn one point of Choir Community Service (CCS) credit. Students needing to miss gigs (not concerts) may make up their absences by completing an additional point of CCS for each missed event. Students who fail to fulfill their CCS requirement will receive a deduction of -10% from their semester grade for each point not completed.
